Activities in School Holidays this year
This year we will have the usual mix of:
Fun Days during every half term and school holidays
Residential and non-residential Summer Camps
Shows and Competitions
Courses in different aspects of stable management, riding and jumping
as well as a variety of serious and fun activities.
Details will be posted on the Main Notice Board, and listed on this website from time-to-time.
Fun Days
We usually have Fun Days in each Half Term and main School Holidays.
10 - 3 pm
Lots of riding and stable activities as well as fun games.
Bring a packed lunch
The usual days are Tuesdays and Thursdays, but we often add in a Wednesday as well in Half Terms.

Fun Days are opened on the Book Online section of the website around 6 weeks ahead, when spaces can then be booked.
SPECIAL ACTIVITIES
We will run courses or fun events from time-to-time.
A typical event may include:
10.00 Clear Round
11.00 50-50 cm optimum time
12.00 60-70 optimum time
1.00 7-80 fastest time clear.
We also run one-off events on specific aspects of riding/horse care.
We usually run a 6-8 week course for adults each term, based on modules from our main City & Guilds one year courses.
Guided hacks:
1hr30mins
for experienced riders to improve their canter skills in the open
for riders that can trot and canter but want a nice ride out in the countryside
novice hack walk and trot
Bank Holiday shows - details to follow, book at Office
SHOWS
We usually run these and similar shows. Details will be emailed to all signed-up riders:
3 DAY EVENT
Choice of horses.
Monday - Dressage
Tuesday - Show Jumping
Wednesday - Cross country
Cost: £90
BANK HOLIDAY SHOW
Will be held on August Bank Holiday Monday.
Details emailed to all members.
Clear Round
Lots of classes to suit all riders.
MONDAY EVENING JUMPING
Sometimes held in July at 5.30 pm.
Rules etc will be on notice board.
SUMMER CAMPS
We will have THREE Camps in 2024
Non-residential
Monday 12 August to Thursday 15.
9.30 to 4.30
Bring a packed lunch.
snacks & drinks provided
Unlike Fun Days, the camp provides the opportunity to really grow the rider's technique with riding.

Price £285. Deposit to be paid on booking.

Residential
Monday 29 July to Thursday 1 August +
Monday 5 August to Thursday 8 (latter suitable if campers wish to join evening activities but not stay overnight)
Children aged 9 and over
9.00 am Monday (drop off) to 4.00 pm Thursday
c15 spaces only.
All meals etc provided
Camping in tents in garden - gates closed overnight.
Lots of fun and learning alongside plenty of riding.
Swimming pool has been out of action, this year BUT a temporary repair has meant it is available for Camp 5th August! If you want to swim, bring swim suits and several large towels.
