New prices from 1st April 2026
Court Equestrian is facing major cost increases.

Up to now we have been not charged VAT because the mix of lessons and activity meant that much of our activity was VAT-exempt and the VATable activity was below the VAT threshold.
However, our activity that is VATable is now about to pass the VAT threshold.
This means that we have to add VAT of 20% to the price of many lessons, all Fun Days, Camps and other activity. This is a 20% increase!
We will average increase this across all of our activites.

At the same time, our feed & stabling costs have increased.
For example small hay bales that cost £4 throughout the last 12 months are now more than double that price. By purchasing large bales we have managed to reduce the equivalent cost of a small bale to c£7 – that is still a massive 55% increase in feed costs. We are hoping that hay costs will come down if the 2026 harvest is good.

Our staff deserve salary increases, our Business Rate have shot up over 60% (because the Hospitality & Leisure rebate has been removed), and inflation affects all of us.
We are absorbing some of these costs, but we have to increase our prices from 1st April and the new prices are shown on the website and at the Stables.

We hope that you all understand.
