GENERAL STATEMENT OF HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY

 

  1. It is the Policy of Court Equestrian to establish and maintain safe and healthy working conditions, complying with current legislation.  The Company will provide necessary information and instruction for Employees and Instructors so that their work does not put them, their colleagues, customers or members of the public at unnecessary risk.

  2. The Management of Health & Safety at Work Regulations require the Company to implement such arrangements as are appropriate, having regard to the nature of its activities and size, for the effective planning, implementation and review of preventative and protective measures.

  3. The Company will take all reasonable and practicable measures to ensure safe selection, use and replacement of equipment and horses (including ponies).

  4. The Company will take all reasonable and practicable measures to ensure safe access to and exit from the place of work.

  5. All Employees and Instructors must take reasonable care of themselves and any other persons who may be affected by their actions or failure to comply with safety rules and working practices at work.

  6. Employees and Instructors must carry out any necessary duty which the law requires, and co-operate with the Company to allow legal obligations to be met. Anything provided for Heath and Safety purposes must not be misused

  7. Court Equestrian is committed to maintaining the highest feasible standards in Health, Safety and Welfare for its Employees, Instructors, and others affected by its activities.
