New Stables
Update:
Stables fully completed BUT we have been asked why have they been painted green?
The answer is that it is a condiiton of the planning permission. The reason is to make them stand out less when viewed from the lane, especially as the steel barn which is just behind them is already dark green. It has helped - fresh timber would definitely stand out much more.
PREVIOUS POST:
We have now RECEIVED planning permission for:
a new block of 6 stables
remission for a temporary cabin.
The stables will be in front of the main barn, in the rough, open area in front of the double doors. It will be an "L" shaped block, and the stables will be timber.
The portable cabin is a used one which Court Property no longer need. We would like ot use it as a classroom flor when we run courses, inlcuding the new NVQ's. However, it will be very useful to have additional office space! Being an ex-builders' site office, it will need to be well cleaned before we can use it!

We have cast the concrete foundation slab, and the timber stables have arrived in sections. We are now waiting for some better weather to lay the single line of engineering bricks on which the stables will sit, and then complete the erection of the stables.
